The homeowners of this 1950’s home had really enjoyed building upon the “mid-century cool” feel of their home. Their furniture and décor were selected to complement the architectural features of that era. The original kitchen was less than desirable, however. It was very small and cramped and even lacked the most modest of modern conveniences - a built-in dishwasher. Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, extending the hardwood floors, and creating a storage-packed kitchen design featuring sleek ebony cabinets, solid surface countertops and glass tile backsplash have given this home the kitchen that it originally deserved.
