Kevin and Deborah
This 1970's era home was something right out of House Beautiful - the 1972 version anyway! The original owners had lovingly cared for and preserved the green shag carpets, the green linoleum, and the avocado green appliances. Everything worked and was in great shape but the new owners wanted a much more updated look. The wall between the kitchen and the den was removed and the ceiling height was raised. Skylights were added and the kitchen was remade using stained maple cabinets with an ebony glaze, new granite countertops, marble tile backsplash, Bosch stainless steel appliances, new hardwood floors, and a new lighting plan. The fireplace in the adjoining den was refaced with the same marble as the tile backsplash in the kitchen for a seamless look.
