Rick and Phyllis
A kitchen remodel does not always involve new cabinets. The cherry cabinets in this 1970's Starmount home were in great shape when Phyllis and Rick decided that a kitchen update was needed. The problem was that the cabinets were in the wrong place! A U-shaped kitchen created bottlenecks and just did not work for their family. We solved the problem with some good design work and re-arranged the cabinets to form an L-shaped kitchen with an island. Logjams are no longer a problem in this household. Hardwood floors were extended from the dining room and hallway areas and help to make the home seem even more spacious. New granite countertops, tile backsplash, stainless appliances, a new pantry with lots of storage, and a bar area with wine storage round out this make over.
